Terms of service
Last updated November 4, 2026
Wayfest is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Insomniac, Goldenvoice, Live Nation or any festival, venue or artist shown in it. Festival and artist names are used only to identify them.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Wayfest, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Who can use Wayfest
You must be at least 18 years old. You must also follow each festival’s own age limits and rules. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
Not an emergency service
Wayfest helps friends find each other, but it can’t guarantee that alerts, locations or messages arrive. Phones die, signal drops and GPS can be wrong, especially in crowds. Never rely on Wayfest in an emergency. Call 911 or go to festival medical, security or staff.
Your location and your friends
- Only share your location with people you know and trust.
- Anyone with your friends’ code can join the group and see where its members are. Keep the code private.
- Everyone gets an alert when someone joins. The person who started the group can remove people, which also changes the code.
- You can turn sharing off at any time. Shared spots, rally points, parking pins and statuses are deleted 3 hours after the festival ends.
- If your shared spot moves well outside the venue during the festival, your friends are told you left (and when you’re back).
Things other people post
Parking reports, statuses, community posts, meetups and messages come from other people and aren’t checked by us. They may be wrong or out of date. Always follow posted signs, staff and local laws. Don’t post anything illegal, threatening, hateful, false or that invades someone’s privacy. You can report posts by pressing and holding them, and block anyone from their profile. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules. The Community and messaging people outside your group are for adults 18 and older only. When you meet someone new, meet in a busy public spot, tell your friends where you’re going, and don’t share your location with people you just met.
Festival and artist information
Dates, maps, stage locations, set times and lineups can change and may be wrong. Check the festival’s official app or website. Wayfest is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Insomniac, Goldenvoice, Live Nation or any festival, venue or artist shown in it. Festival and artist names are used only to identify them.
Music previews and links
Song previews and artwork come from Apple Music and Deezer, and links open Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud or YouTube. GIFs are powered by GIPHY. Those services have their own terms. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. See Settings → Credits & licenses for photo credits.
What you post
You keep ownership of the photos, stickers, banners, totems and messages you post. You give Wayfest permission to store them and show them to the people you shared them with, only to run the app. Only post things you made or have the right to share. Don’t use other people’s logos, artwork or photos without permission, and don’t post photos of people who asked you not to.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something in Wayfest uses your work without permission, email undefined with: your contact details, the work you own, where it appears in the app, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you own or are authorized to act for the owner of the work, with your physical or electronic signature. We’ll remove it promptly and tell the person who posted it, who may send a counter-notice. We remove accounts that repeatedly post others’ work.
The app as-is
Wayfest is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for losses from missed alerts, wrong locations, towed cars, missed sets or anything other people post. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Friends tab. We may suspend accounts that misuse the app or put others at risk.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we’ll tell you in the app. Questions: undefined. These terms are governed by the laws of California.
